The DevSecOps Program Lead oversees a high-performing, agile team and play a critical role in delivering secure, efficient, and innovative solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other government clients. This role drives initiatives such as TrustStack PaaS/SaaS operations, container hardening for Platform One Iron Bank, and GitLab contract fulfillment. The DevSecOps Program Lead ensures client satisfaction through a combination of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight. This role reports directly to the CTO, while collaborating closely with the DevOps Project Manager. 
  
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead by example to support an engaged culture - built on professionalism, teamwork, and creativity. Foster a collaborative and agile team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
  • Provide mentorship to a multidisciplinary DevSecOps team, including platform engineers, container hardening specialist, and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate all strategic factors which could affect program objectives, such as significant changes in the competitive environment. Interact with the appropriate functions, within the company, to ensure that this knowledge is used effectively.
  • Mange and prioritize the team’s workload using Atlassian Data Center tools to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Support container hardening efforts for Iron Bank and guide the team on compliance with DoD standards (e.g., RMF, FedRAMP, NIST).
  • Collaborate with the DevOps Project Manager to align team goals with overall program objectives and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Lead technical discussions, drive innovation, and implement best practices for security, automation, and DevSecOps processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required. 
Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CS, MIS, or related field is desired.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields is required.
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies is required.
  • DoD Secret security clearance, or higher, is preferred.
  • Leadership experience managing agile teams in high-stakes environments.
  • Deep knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform).
  • Proficiency in Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as RMF, NIST, and FedRAMP.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align team efforts with organizational goals.
  • Passionate about security, innovation, and solving complex challenges in government and defense sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage competing priorities, and drive results.
  • Eager to stay ahead of industry trends and implement emerging technologies.
