Job description

Top Gun Staffing Group LLC is excited to announce our partnership with a world-leading multi-material player in semi-finished plastic products. We are currently looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic accounting team. In this role, the successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing accounting operations, maintaining financial records accurately, and upholding financial integrity. This position presents a distinctive chance to impact the company's financial well-being and aid in strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Implement new accounting principles and policies ensuring all accounting is in accordance with global requirements and IFRS/GAAP.
  • Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Oversee payroll accounting, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of payroll transactions.
  • Manage bank accounting, including reconciliations and cash flow management.
  • General ledger (GL) accounting, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • 5-10% travel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.), Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
