About the role 

Do you enjoy the challenge of custom RF designs for enterprise customers? This position involves a mastery of designing in-building and outdoor distributed antenna systems for Cellular and public safety applications. We're on the lookout for a RF Manager who will work closely with various departments to ensure that the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems is executed efficiently. Based in one of our offices on a hybrid basis you’ll be mitigating leading designs in your region. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

As part of the Operations team, you’ll play a vital role in designing in-building and outdoor DAS systems for a variety of applications. At all levels, colleagues will rely on RF Engineering and expertise in DAS in day-to-day operations. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:  

 

  • Coordinating with Solutions on Benchmark data collection support, including determining walk routes, channel collection requirements, and carrier and venue technical requirements needed to complete preliminary designs. 

  • Participate in site surveys and manage CW data collection. 

  • Analyze and incorporate Benchmark and CW data into RF designs for each venue.  

  • Manage and review RF designs to ensure compliance with carrier and venue requirements to maximize efficiency.  

  • Deliver iBwave designs, carrier design packages, and BOM to Solutions and Deployment teams. 

  • Arrange and present internal design reviews with Solutions, Sales, and Deployment teams.  

  • Participate in carrier and venue design reviews and utilizes feedback to manage design revisions. 

  • Coordinate support for DAS commissioning, optimization, and testing efforts to ensure compliance with design criteria. 

  • Facilitate 3rd party Acceptance Testing in support of Deployment team.   

  • Provided final review and approval of carrier Closeout Packages. 

  • Coordinates ongoing engineering support for upgrades, retrofits, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 

  • iBwave certification required (Level 2 certification preferred). 

  • Three years in-building DAS design experience. 

  • DAS design experience with stadiums, arenas, large scale venues and hybrid solutions 

  • Must be familiar with wireless technologies CDMA, EVDO, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, W-CDMA and LTE. 

  • Working design knowledge using CMA, Commscope, SOLiD and Teko DAS equipment. 

  • Detailed understanding of RF propagation principles, cellular theory and RF engineering tools (signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other tools and software such as JDSU, Nemo Handy, Actix, Atoll, Asset, PCTel, ZK, MapInfo and Tems).
