Job description

Your mission
  • Integration of payment solutions into internal systems, websites, and apps using APIs
  • Support in payment-related decision-making for new projects
  • Analysis of transaction data, identification of patterns, and detection of potential issues or fraud attempts
  • Identification and resolution of payment issues, both technical and operational
  • Act as the central point of contact for our payment service providers
  • Development of a payment solutions strategy for the nextbike group
  • Coordination with the Finance, Marketing, and IT departments to ensure alignment in payment processes, customer requirements and product development
Your profile
  • Degree in Finance, International Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in payment processing with various payment platforms and gateways (e.g., PayPal, Adyen)
  • Understanding of security protocols (e.g., PCI-DSS) and country-specific compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PSD2 in the EU)
  • Knowledge of the complexities of international payments, such as currency conversions, cross-border fees, taxes, and local payment preferences
  • Fluent English language skills (C1), German is nice to have
  • Attention to detail: Precision in managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance
  • Problem-solving orientation: Ability to quickly identify the root causes of payment issues and propose solutions
  • Time management: Ability to meet deadlines, especially in fast-paced environments where payments need to be processed quickly
