About the role
CloudBees is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with advanced experience in application development, preferably in GoLang, Java, or Python. In this role, you will lead projects and develop systems that enhance the developer experience for large enterprises. Your expertise will influence cross-team initiatives, and you will mentor other engineers to drive innovation and excellence in our software development processes.

You are an engineer with advanced expertise and cross-team influence, driving technical direction and innovation across teams. You will be a key technical leader within an engineering team comprising front-end, back-end, and full-stack software engineers practicing agile development.
Your role will involve not only delivering high-quality software solutions but also mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence. You will take ownership of complex projects, ensure alignment with business goals, and contribute to the strategic vision of the organization.

- Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of major software components, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

- Independently implement solutions and propose technical strategies to address complex problems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Advocate and implement modern software development practices, including Lean and Agile methodologies.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of software applications and systems.
- A technical expert with a proven track record in delivering software products from ideation to market.

Role Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development with high proficiency in problem-solving.
- 7+ years of enterprise software development experience in Go (preferred), Java, or Python.
- Extensive experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud storage; knowledge of Docker, Node.js, Tekton, and DataDog is a plus.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD tools, DevOps culture, and SaaSOps.
- Proven experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to production.
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of software development, project management, quality assurance, and customer advocacy.
- Ability to work autonomously in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate in a fast-paced industry.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Meets or exceeds CloudBees' functional, leadership, and foundational skills requirements for this role.
