PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Provide sustainability solutions for our clients across Europe, the UK, and the U.S.  
  • Work as part of a team to develop and expand client relationships in support of business development, including direct support as SME, thought leadership and other marketing and content development.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory developments in the U.S., EU and U.K., including CSRD, SFDR and other EU and UK regulations.
  • Help clients develop CSRD-aligned reporting and prepare for assurance requirements.
  • Lead double materiality assessments.
  • Support clients in climate reporting strategies, including conducting climate risk assessments and climate scenario analysis.
  • Consult and advise clients on sustainability strategies, initiatives, disclosures, and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Create and review client presentations, research reports, and other deliverables on tight timelines. Finalize client deliverables and present to C-suite and Board of Directors. 
  • Manage direct client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for ESG and Sustainability teams, as well as other internal contacts such as Communications, Investor Relations, Legal, Executive Management and the Board.  

REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in corporate sustainability and/or ESG and sustainability consulting. 
  • Corporate issuer, consulting, corporate communications experience a plus. 
  • Experience conducting double materiality assessments and deep, practical understanding of CSRD reporting requirements and/or experience preparing climate-related financial disclosures.
  • Understanding of ESG reporting standards and frameworks such as IFRS/SASB, TCFD, UNSDGs, GRI, and ratings agencies and voluntary disclosure platforms.
  • Experience developing annual sustainability disclosures. 
  • Strong work ethic, organizational and project management skills, and alignment with Rivel’s core values.
