Job Description Summary

The Sr. Manager Franchise Operations & Revenue Development fosters brand equity and visible value by consulting and supporting assigned hotels focused on property revenue generation, performance and operational effectiveness. The position develops meaningful hotel owner and operator relationships through authentic engagements.

The position is responsible for a portfolio of existing and assigned new hotels’ pre and post opening revenue development strategies and tactics. Partnering with hotel sales and operations leadership, the position is responsible for optimizing both revenue growth trajectory and velocity to heighten owner satisfaction with topline revenue delivery. The position consults, educates, and activates effective sales, marketing, and operational best practices to influence revenue growth.

Job Description

Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:

  • Partners with the Franchise Onboarding team to ensure Business Readiness with sales and marketing strategies, tactics, and revenue channels via local sales and marketing tactics, and coordination and implementation of brand programs.
  • Ensure pre-opening sales, marketing and revenue development Critical Path deliverables are completed internally and externally for timely pre-sell activation
  • Achieves sales and marketing objectives by:
    • Conducting new hotel market assessment and capturing business intelligence insights to identify sales opportunities across channels.
    • Coaching property level teams of all experience levels on sales strategies, with ability to translate into actionable and achievable tactics for business impact
    • Developing, activating, and tracking written action plans with new hotels which serve to support local revenue development efforts.
    • Leveraging Sonesta brand tools and resources to drive commercial performance
    • Keeps Sonesta revenue generation teams informed of new hotels market attributes, business drivers, and new opportunities.
  • Partners with the Franchise Services & Operations team regarding hotel performance and any escalated support issues.
  • Conducts regular cadence of calls with assigned hotels to foster performance and ensure actions and results are monitored for effectiveness.
  • Conducts training and coaching on-property and virtually related to programs, standards, and other revenue development initiatives or assigned curriculum.
  • Up to 40% travel including some international travel. Ability to travel to multiple hotel locations by car or air and work at various locations outside the office is required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experienced. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree. 7+ years professional multi-unit hotel and /or above-property sales, revenue generation and/or commercial operations leadership. Hotel pre-opening/conversion related work and branded franchise experience preferred.
  • An exceptional communicator. You understand your audience always and excel in an environment of influence without control to achieve objectives.
  • Technically Proficient. Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Agency360, Costar, Delphi required. Kalibri, IDEAS, Duetto, MeetingPackages, Tableau, and/or Opera are preferred but not required.
  • Organized. Highly organized and demonstrate success as a self-starter and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines. You must have the ability to multi-task across different disciplines and time zones utilizing multiple forms of communication including email, telephone, virtually, and TEAMs.
  • Growth Mindset. You are adaptable and enjoy moving with changing business needs and priorities, working independently and collaboratively. You constantly seek ways to accomplish work efficiently and effectively, socializing best practices with all stakeholders to understand current and future state.
  • Results-oriented. You are resourceful. Proven track record of driving change and removing hurdles in a fast growth organization.

Pay Range

$94,000 to $105,000 Base pay offer may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific/overall experience.
