We’re partnering with a cutting-edge tech company to find a talented Big Data Architect - ML/LLM Specialist for their newly created Data team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced technologies like Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform and AWS big data services to design and implement innovative data architectures for ML and LLM projects.


Position Highlights:

  • Full-time, permanent employment contract
  • Location: Romania (remote work)
  • Reporting to: CTO (based in the US)
  • Work schedule: European time zone, with flexibility for global collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable data architectures for ML and LLM training
  • Implement end-to-end data pipelines using advanced Lakehouse architecture
  • Optimize data workflows for ML/LLM model training and deployment
  • Leverage AI-powered data discovery and governance tools
  • Implement AWS-based architecture for data lakes, warehouses, and real-time processing
  • Ensure data quality and security in complex ecosystems
  • Collaborate with data scientists on ML/LLM model integration
  • Provide technical leadership on big data and AI initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in big data architecture, focusing on ML/LLM projects
  • Expert in Apache Spark and cloud platforms (Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
  • Deep understanding of ML/LLM training processes and requirements
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Experience with advanced features like Unity Catalog, AutoML, and Feature Store (preferred)
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices and AWS data services (preferred)
