About This Role
The Associate Director, Talent Partner is a thought partner and subject matter expert in the consultation and activation of talent practices (e.g. Talent Strategy, Talent Review and Succession, High Potential Assessment & Development, Culture & Engagement) for the Americas Region and Global Operations Function. The Associate Director, Talent Partner partners globally across Executives and Sr HRBPs to align talent strategy, decisions, and actions to business needs to drive measurable talent outcomes including bench strength, internal mobility, high potential development and readiness, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the President, Sr HRBP, and other business/HR stakeholders to:
Contribute to activating Carrier’s global talent strategy, philosophy, and behaviors.
Develop local talent strategies in alignment to business needs.
Accurately assess talent using Carrier frameworks and diagnostic tools.
Plan and lead “always on” succession practices to build pipeline.
Enable differentiated development of high-potential talent to accelerate readiness for future roles.
Contribute to slating for open leadership and executive roles to drive internal mobility.
Provide insights on organizational and team culture and enable actions to improve engagement and retention.
Develop people leader talent and culture capabilities.
Measure and monitor talent outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5 + years of talent management experience at a global level
3 + years of experience working with C-Suite executives and other senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred, preferably in I/O Psychology, Org Development, or related.
8 years of experience in Talent Management or strategic HR role in a large, global organization.
Experience across multiple other talent management practices (e.g., Leadership and High Potential Development, Assessment, Culture & Engagement, Inclusion & Diversity, Executive Search, Change Management, Performance Management).
Talent expertise and thought leadership.
Outstanding consultation, collaboration and influencing capabilities.
Executive presence and communication.
Strong business acumen.
Global project and change management.
Leading through complexity and ambiguity (e.g. competing priorities, matrixed environment, change and transformation).
Self-aware and role model for behavior modification and learning.
Strong understanding of the key talent metrics and analytics and ability to apply to drive outcomes.
Talent and Assessment certifications (e.g. Talent Management Institute, Hogan, MBTI, 360) preferred.
