Job description

POSITION TITLE:            Sales Director 

Supervised by:                  Chief Growth Officer

Supervises:                       N/A       

FLSA Status:                     Exempt / Full-Time  

 

POSITION SUMMARY. MediQuant is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will excel in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and driving revenue growth within the healthcare sector. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for technology-driven solutions.

This position is designed to expand MediQuant’s presence in the sub-acute and small hospital market while also building deeper relationships with the positions named standalone hospital customers. Success in this role will be defined by achieving sales bookings goals and increasing customer satisfaction scores with the positions assigned customers.  The position will have the ability to sell all MediQuant solutions into the assigned geography.  Additionally, this position will work closely with two Regional Vice Presidents managing large health system regions to generate sales leads withing the large health system market.

JOB DUTIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS. A qualified individual must be able to perform these essential functions of the job as listed, with or without accommodation.   

  1. Lead Generation: Identify, research, and reach out to prospective clients through outbound calls, emails, and digital outreach campaigns.
  2. Pipeline Management: Qualify leads and set up meetings or demos for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff of prospects.
  3. Customer Outreach: Engage with healthcare organizations, including hospitals and health systems, to understand their needs and present MediQuant’s solutions.
  4. Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  5. CRM Utilization: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of KPIs.
  6. Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of MediQuant’s products and services to effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers.
  7. Market Feedback: Gather insights from conversations with prospects to provide feedback to the marketing and product teams for continuous improvement.
  8. Relationship Management:Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
    1. Advocate for Clients: Represent client interests internally to influence product development and service enhancements.
    2. Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans, identifying growth opportunities and strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    3. Solution Delivery: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., implementation, support, and product teams) to ensure seamless delivery and performance of MediQuant’s solutions. 
  9. Retention & Growth: Ensure high client retention by addressing needs, resolving issues promptly, and identifying opportunities to expand MediQuant’s footprint within accounts.
  10. Upselling & Cross-Selling: Identify and promote additional MediQuant products and services that meet client needs, contributing to revenue growth.
  11. Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to provide strategic guidance to clients.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in inside sales and account management, preferably within the healthcare or technology industry.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and data management solutions is a plus

Work Environment. Employees may work from our corporate headquarters or work from home. Employees may at times be required to travel to headquarters for meetings or company events. Remote workers will be provided with a company laptop and are responsible for maintaining access to high-speed internet.  

 

Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work. This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 40 

hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Travel. Incumbent may occasionally experience some out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

 

Work Authorization. In compliance with Federal employment laws, MediQuant will verify the identity and employment authorization of each person hired. MediQuant participates in the Federal E-Verify program.


Security Clearance. Must be able to pass all security clearances mandated by various government contracts as well as client hospital/healthcare security requirements. Any employee working on government projects will be required to successfully pass a government background check and receive a Common Access Card (CAC). Additionally, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen and will be subject to a Public Trust security background investigation and must meet requirements to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) network account.
