Job description

Location: Remote, United States of America

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 / year

Description

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a business development background, with previous experience in the insurance or insuretech industry. You will be supported by industry leading talent, training, tools and partners in the InsurTech industry, to drive and develop the business. The successful candidate will have a hunter mentality with a go-getter attitude that will take ownership of revenue generation, develop new opportunities, manage pipeline, and close enterprise-level deals with emphasis in Life & Annuities or Group Benefits space within the insurance marketplace.

Key activities for the Sales Representative include:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive engagement and revenue growth, with a land and expand strategy, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure client success.
  • Proactive development of new business customers in assigned North American territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key prospects and decision makers.
  • Maintain current and accurate information on account status, sales activity and overall account plans in SalesForce.com.
  • Manage the account development and opportunity pursuit process from initial assignment through close using Salesforce CRM.
  • Manage post-sale customer relationships to maximize product upsell and cross sell.
  • Construct, forecast, and manage sales activity and pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals.
  • Arrange and participate in technical and sales presentations to prospects
  • Stay current on specific Group Benefits, Life & Annuities and insurance industry trends and terminology for our target markets, master our positioning vs competitive offerings, and develop compelling case studies and customer insights to efficiently close deals.
  • Analyze competitor products and activities and provide feedback to marketing, peers and product development.
  • Lead the effort surrounding RFx preparation and present regular detailed reports to management regarding Sales and Marketing activities and success rates.
  • Represent the EIS at trade shows, conferences, industry meetings and other avenues to initiate sales of the Company's products.
  • Ability to engage in business consulting activities, capable of conducting detailed prospect interviews.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Executive Leadership, Revenue, Product ,Technology and Operations organizations.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in B2B, enterprise software sales. The ideal candidate will have a background in Business Development / Sales Development with recent experience in an Account Executive or Sales Director capacity as a quota carrier.
  • A track record of managing complex sales cycles and securing strategic deals by understanding multifaceted technical requirements and crafting tailored solutions with a strong preference with proven background in the Life & Annuities or Group Benefits world.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Insurance industry.
  • Record of meeting and exceeding quota on highly complex, multi million dollar enterprise B2B software / SaaS offerings.
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach with focus on building relationships with clients.
  • Thorough understanding of the enterprise sales cycle and show a methodical approach to moving opportunities through this cycle.
  • Ability to perform as a self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture while being independent in managing your business.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and business data.
  • Proven capability to negotiate effectively; balancing value and time to close.
  • Demonstrably high levels of business/financial acumen and emotional intelligence
  • Possess the ability to understand complex client strategies and tactical. requirements and to clearly articulate the company's offerings to develop solutions that deliver value.

Compensation

The targeted salary range for this position is $100,000 - 130,000 yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive commission as part of your OTE and stock options as part of our offer, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
