About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fullstack Engineer to join FSE’s small, dynamic remote team. This role will involve developing cutting-edge solutions for energy systems while collaborating with global clients to solve complex challenges. Candidates must align with Irish working hours and possess a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

The Impact You Will Make:

• Design and develop efficient, secure, and extensible applications that drive energy innovation.

• Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored solutions, including smart charging algorithms and renewable energy integration.

• Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure scalability and long-term system maintainability.

• Solve technical challenges creatively, leveraging foundational programming knowledge.

• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and user experience.

• Work independently and collaboratively within a flat organizational structure.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-time software development.

• Expertise in:

  • Python (essential).

  • Linux-based systems and CLI knowledge (essential).

  • JavaScript/TypeScript (e.g., Angular, Vue, React).

  • Cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, InfluxDB) and SQL.

  • Docker-based application development.

  • MQTT/RabbitMQ, WebSockets, and REST-based APIs.

• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.

• Fluency in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to proactively identify and solve technical problems.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in energy-related projects or the sustainability sector.

• Knowledge of Electric Vehicle charging systems, smart charging implementations, and backend protocols (e.g., OCPP).

• Experience in the automotive or energy management domains.

You Should Be Comfortable With:

• Collaborating in a fully remote, multicultural environment.

• Contributing to multiple client and internal R&D projects.

• Taking ownership of technical solutions and challenging decisions when necessary.

• Working from anywhere aligned with Irish time zones
