This is a remote position.

Position: Solar Energy Expert

Location: Remote (Work from Home) & In-Person

Position Type: Full-Time

Must Reside in: New Jersey, New York, Florida or California

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Energy Expert goes a step beyond those at most solar companies; we train our consultants to analyze the best solution for the property owner. As an Energy Expert, you will have the ability to work from home and set your hours. Your daily objective will be to educate homeowners on the clean energy program, to answer their questions, to develop their custom solar solution, and convert them into clients!

Requirements


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Sales

● Connect with prospective clients and educate them on the benefits of transitioning to clean energy
● Conduct numerous virtual solar meetings with homeowners throughout the week
● Conduct occasional in-person solar meetings with homeowners
● Present our solar sales pitch deck with ease
● Gracefully handle customer questions and objections
● Consistently follow up with all sales opportunities
● Shepherd homeowners through the entire sales process
● Meet individual monthly & quarterly sales targets assigned by leadership

Pipeline Management

● Build a healthy and versatile sales pipeline conducive to meeting your monthly & quarterly sales targets
● Develop leads through your own professional and personal network
● Source referrals through existing clients and referral partners
● Master the sales presentation and process to obtain company provided appointments

Training & Development

● Complete required training within 2 weeks of onboarding
● Attend weekly team meetings (2 1-hour meetings each week)
● Participate in continuous education & workshops (virtual & occasional in-person)
● Independently study materials & practice role playing
● Continuously self-reflect on areas you are in need of improvement or growth

Administrative

● Utilize our CRM to document all sales activity, set tasks/reminders and keep your sales pipeline organized
● Manage professional communication with partners and clients
● Maintain an organized calendar of meetings, list of tasks and follow-ups
● Oversee that projects move through each stage as needed, in a timely fashion, and are ultimately seen through completion
● Develop strong relationships with SunPower project coordinators in effort to resolve any delays that may arise throughout the project

Engagement

● Actively participate in friendly company-led competitions
● Support fellow team members & build camaraderie
● Communicate using our team group chat to celebrate wins and achievements

Time & Equipment

● Minimum of 35 hours per week
● Computer & Wifi

Professional Experience

● Minimum 2-3 years of professional working experience
● Minimum 1 year of Sales and/or Customer Service experience  
● HS Diploma
● Experience working in a virtual setting (a plus)
● Positive track record of sales or customer service performance Skills
● Bilingual (English & Spanish)
● Positive mindset and attitude
● Ability to manage your time well
● Possess the discipline to work autonomously with little supervision
● Ability to also work in a collaborative team environment
● Open to constructive feedback and willingness to be coached
● Eager to learn and to always continue improving
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to read your audience
● Respect for other's time and ability to demonstrate punctuality
● Quick learner, but open to speaking up when you dont know something
● Computer savvy and comfortable navigating through various platforms
● Not afraid to jump right in and get in front of clients immediately
● Ethical & Honest  

Energy Experts in the state of California MUST obtain an HIS License
