What You Will Contribute:
Based at: Remote worker sited in the Thames Valley area ideally (must be prepared to visit Norwich Head office twice per month)
Successful candidate will be required to travel regularly inside the UK and abroad
Company vehicle will be supplied
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Main Purpose of Job:
The Installation and Support of Badger Meter/Syrinix products. The work will include but not be limited to installation and commissioning, preventative and reactive maintenance, customer technical support and customer training.
The successful candidate will be required to analyse customer/Badger meter data to support work planning and customer deployment.
Use the data from customers and product performance to support the quality system and drive continuous improvement.
Liaise with the customer support and business development teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Good communication skills both internally and externally are essential to be successful in the role.
Main responsibilities and Duties:
- Supporting installation and commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrades
- Carry out routine maintenance both preventative and reactive primarily on customer sites
- Create reports of work undertaken at customer sites
- To train customers in installation and operation of equipment
- Provide technical support via phone, email and the company customer services platform
- Provide weekly reports on all customer support activities
- Front end project management of customer roll out initiatives
- Ensure proper control and distribution of spares stock
- Use data platforms to support deployment and maintenance activities
Essential
Skills & Experience
- Recognized apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline or suitable experience
- Good computer literacy
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Good knowledge of English language both oral and written
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Min 2 years experience in a field engineering or similar capacity
Desirable
- Experience of the water industry
- Knowledge of traffic management procedures
- Recognised Health and Safety qualification
