Senior Applications Analyst - TMS

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Specialist with 4 - 6 years of experience in Oracle TMS (Transportation Management Systems). Senior Applications Developer is responsible for formulating and defining system scope and objectives on a team that supports our Logistics systems (transportation, EDI, compliance, etc.) for numerous applications.

The Role devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity, limitations, operating time, and desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are written. Designs, codes, tests, debug, and documents programs. Leads configuration, deployment and troubleshooting for packaged software. Typically reports to Manager.  May provide input for associate evaluations. Capable of leading development team within any project. Demonstrates subject matter expertise in multiple applications and functions. Adept in working as part of a global team.

Preferred: experience with logistics applications, warehouse management applications or transportation management applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Configure, implement, and support Oracle TMS/GTM solutions.
• Participate in meetings with users to determine requirements and scope.
• Contribute towards the recommendation of standards/directions/technologies.
• Complete detailed functional design deliverables.
• Assist In technical design deliverables.
• Capable of completing key Project Management deliverables for small to medium product development efforts including Requirements Definition, Design, Build and Test phases.
• Facilitate and actively participate in technology activities as they relate to the Technology, Server Management and Operations groups.
• Support the installation, configuration, engineering, and management of complex environments that includes multiple operating system platforms and network topologies.
• Review detailed and technology design deliverables.
• Code, test, document and implement programs with high complexity levels.
• Participate in and contribute towards cross-functional teams where system interface activity may occur.
• Participate in on-call support activities.
• Identify and correct application software problems. Assist/perform peer code reviews.
• Code, test, document and implement application enhancements and corrections.
• Monitor and resolve system performance issues.
• Mentor and train other team members in area of expertise.
• Assist end users in resolving and identifying system issues by providing application knowledge and technical expertise Assist users through creation and execution of test plan.
• Train users in use of new system
• Participate in generation of user documentation.
• Assist Leads in the development of technical training plans for Programmer and Programmer Analysts

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in Oracle TMS and/or logistics packaged applications.
• Oracle TMS exposure is a must need.
• Experience on Web Services.
• Solid understanding of the Transportation & Logistics domain.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and integration technologies.
• Knowledge of application deployment processes.
• Familiarity with cloud frameworks, preferably Azure.
• Experience in cloud automation and elastic job management.
• Good to have experience with Oracle BI or similar applications.
• Demonstrated experience in both development and testing environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and engage with customer stakeholders.
