Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Field Applications Engineer. This position will be located in or near Leuven, Belgium.
Summary
The Field Applications Engineer drives on-site and remote technical Customer support including product introductions, training, and installations. Customer meetings are used to determine their current and desired situation and find applicable Brewer Science technology that can win trust and sales. Any technical problems are quickly addressed as needed, and lessons-learned from such activities are recorded and taught internally.
Responsibilities
Learn customer needs for process, materials and equipment support.
Provide the technical face to the customer while accompanying the account manager during interactions.
Perform experiments and simulations to win customer applications and guide internal development efforts.
Continuously communicate cross-functionally on the direction of customer needs and how to stay ahead of the industry.
Build trust at the customer through training opportunities to showcase Brewer technology.
Promptly communicate results of customer communications to management or upper-level engineers.
Protect confidential information and segregate by customer and partners.
Attend FMEA discussions and other internal preparations to anticipate and prevent sample or knowledge sharing problems at customers, and ensure First-Time-Right success.
Identify and publish application notes to promote product benefits and demonstrate industry leadership.
Education & Credentials
Seven years of experience in product application, application support and/or engineering experience, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Physics with five years of experience, or
Master’s degree with 3 years of experience
Experience in the Semiconductor Industry, preferred
Equivalent combination of education and related experience
Fluency in German is preferred
