Sr. Public Relations (PR) Specialist

Overview:

Otter Products is looking for a Sr. Public Relations Specialist to join our team! This position can be based at our Fort Collins, CO headquarters, working a hybrid schedule, or fully remote in the U.S. 

 

As the Sr. Public Relations Specialist, you will provide support and guidance for earned media efforts and serve as a lead for public relations reporting and tracking, with the goal of informing overall PR strategy. Your position will also provide support for internal and corporate communications as needed.

 

Success in this role requires exceptional media relations, strategic communications, the ability to foster strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders and excellent written and verbal communication.

• Lead strategy, content development and execution for OtterBox consumer PR efforts, including but not limited to media relations, event support, corporate communications, and community relations.

• Support earned media strategy by participating in media outreach and proactively provide input and insight into the development of press releases, media kits, etc.

• Work directly with PR agency to identify and execute on coverage opportunities.

• Work cross functionally with other marketing teams to deliver a cohesive and comprehensive go-to-market strategy for new product launches and brand moments.

• Lead earned media reporting and tracking efforts, including monthly reporting, dashboard maintenance and daily/weekly PR digests using media tracking tool.

• Maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media as needed and assist in the reporting and analysis of earned media KPIs.

• Act as community relations liaison for Otter Products, providing tours, responding to community inquiries, attending events, etc.

• Develop statements and provide support for corporate communications efforts.

• Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in marketing, communications or business is preferred.

• Minimum of five years of PR and/or marketing communications experience required.

• Consumer brand marketing, product marketing and/or marketing project management experience preferred.
