About the Role 

PURE Art Services (PAS) is wholly owned subsidiary of Privilege Underwriters, Inc. (PURE Insurance). We are a team of art historians, fine art registrars, risk managers and loss adjusters. Founded in 2008, we provide art services to private and corporate collections as well as high net worth individuals insured by PURE across the United States. PAS’s services include: fine art collection management, collection loss prevention, and claims adjusting for fine art and valuables. We are seeking a Fine Art Specialist based in Southern Florida to join our national team.  

 

What you’ll do 

  • Think on your feet, learn quickly, be able to work efficiently and independently with a wide variety of clients  

  • Represent the company on collection risk management desktop projects as well as regular travel for onsite visits in client’s homes regionally in Florida, the Southern US and/or nationally as needed 

  • For clients that have suffered damage to an artwork, the candidate will investigate and research claims as well as coordinate conservation and appraisals, and negotiate settlements Candidate will complete site surveys, evaluating artwork in-person as needed

  • Collection management projects such as onsite cataloguing art, jewelry or valuables, creating inventories, maintaining databases, and coordinating art transits, appraisals or conservation projects 

  • The Florida Specialist will also provide pre-event and post-event catastrophe management for local collectors in Hurricane prone areas 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of work experience in a relevant field and a background in art history, jewelry, and/or insurance 

  • Strong knowledge of art mediums, materials, and the fine art industry as well as experience writing condition reports and cataloguing fine art 

  • Candidates with expertise in both fine art and jewelry are encouraged to apply 

  • Superior project management skills, strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral, are required 

  • Applicants should possess good interpersonal skills, feel comfortable with different sorts of clients and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team 

  • Experience working with ultra-high net worth clients and art collectors is a plus 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Collection Management Systems a plus 

  • Applicants will need to complete a ~40hr course and pass a claims adjusting examination following hire 

  • All applicants must hold a clean driving license and be able to provide excellent references 

The base salary for this role can range from $85k-$100k, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
