Description

We are always on the lookout for fresh, new voices to add to our roster of talented social media editors & managers at Just N Life. This is a 6 month, non-paid internship position that is remote but can require you to attend company and industry events.

As a Senior Manager, Digital Content & Social Media Intern you will be expected to produce a minimum of 3-8 social media posts per day, focusing on trending topics or content from our website or YouTube. While you work at your own pace, adherence to deadlines is crucial.

In this role, you'll oversee our digital content and social media strategy, driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and revenue growth within the lifestyle and entertainment space. You will help manage a small team responsible for our day-to-day social media presence, including integrating partners into content and showcasing personalities that resonate with our audience. Collaboration with our creative team, including video and graphic design, is essential to align content priorities and maximize reach on social platforms.

We are committed to equipping you with the skills necessary to produce professional-grade social media content, offering opportunities for learning and growth in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should have experience writing editorials for a publication, as the role requires periodic editorial writing. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving space are essential. Experience in media roles, particularly within lifestyle and entertainment, along with a passion for the industry, will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

Content Creation: Assist in the creation and curation of engaging social media content, including posts, images, videos, and stories.

Social Media Management & Strategy: Oversee the strategy and publishing of our digital content and social media platforms. Develop and implement a social media strategy focused on audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness.

Community Engagement: Interact with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a professional and friendly manner.

Analytics and Reporting: Assist in monitoring social media performance, tracking key metrics, and providing insights to support decision-making.

Editorial Writing: Write editorials periodically for publication, contributing to the overall content strategy.

Collaboration & Leadership
: Partner with the creative team to ensure content aligns with engagement goals. Manage a small team overseeing day-to-day social media operations.

Campaign Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of social media advertising campaigns, including research and ad creation.

Learning Opportunity: Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices and apply your knowledge to our strategy.

Pitch Ideas: Generate creative ideas to increase audience engagement and grow our social media following.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience, in roles of progressive responsibility for content strategy & social media within a entertainment and lifestyle publication.
  • Strong passion for and understanding of various social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box to develop engaging content.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
  • Intermediate graphic design skills and knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Capcut, Davinci Resolve) is a must.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has own computer and internet
  • Must meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
