About Us
Angola LNG Project is the result of a partnership between Sonangol, Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (Chevron´s affiliate in Angola – hereinafter described as “Chevron”), TotalEnergies, Azule Energy Angola Production B.V., and Azule Energy Exploration (Angola) Ltd (formerly Eni Production Angola B.V. and bp Exploration Angola Ltd), to gather and process gas and deliver up to 5.2 million tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) per year to the global market.
Different companies manage Angola LNG’s project value chain through service agreements to Angola LNG Limited (the investor company; it owns all assets, acquires gas, sells LNG and liquids, and supplies domestic gas).
This role is for Angola LNG Marketing Ltd (“ALM”) in London. ALM is responsible for conducting LNG marketing activities and LNG and Liquids sales operations on behalf of ALNG, and managing the ALNG´s brand and all external communications.
Overview of The Role
ALM are looking for a skilled and dedicated LNG Operator to join our team. As a Senior LNG Operator, you will be responsible for managing the LNG operations ensuring that all activities are in line with the MSPA, SPA and CNs. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of LNG cargoes.
You will work closely with teams across Shipping, Planning & Portfolio and the terminal. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of LNG operations to effectively address challenges as they arise.
Requirements
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the Confirmation Notice is drafted and executed in time in accordance with the relevant ALM procedures.
- Ensuring the terms of the contracts are met in each cargo delivery.
- Nomination of discharge surveyor for cargo sales.
- Developing relationships with surveyors and tracking “weathering” of cargoes; acting as the point of reference for quality issues related to cargo deliveries and liaising with the Angola LNG Soyo Laboratory and surveyors as appropriate.
- Co-ordination with the terminal and the LNG Scheduler to identify any issues that could negatively impact ALNG’s ability to meet its obligations under a sales transaction.
- Issuing final Cargo Orders to the Voyage Manager.
- Providing subject matter expert input into the tender process, including giving updates on plant production and supporting Confirmation Notice negotiation and implementation.
- Providing subject matter expert input for all sales transactions and sales agreement negotiations.
Personal Attributes & Skills
- Proven experience in LNG operations is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with cargo operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and international environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using MS Office applications and relevant operational software.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and make informed decisions.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- You’re comfortable working from the London office three days a week.
