IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. This position will support the integration and optimization of IT hardware and software asset management, as well as logistics lifecycle processes. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data analysis, programming, and automation to identify data gaps, implement innovative solutions, and present actionable insights through effective visualization. Additionally, the Senior Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and alignment with agency business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on data analysis, design and development related to IT hardware (HW) assets, Software (SW) asset, and logistics lifecycle including identifying data gaps and data needs to ensure optimal and secure operations.
- Participate on project teams related to the data integration systems through innovative solutions between existing systems and other vendor products.
- Provide programming capability to assist with the data integration of systems through robotics process automation (RPA) and other languages such as JavaScript and Python. Help identify, design, implement and adapt electronic applications to convert business practices to automated reports.
- Prepare and present data reports and briefings on asset and logistics data and trends and/or recommended actions to appropriate individuals using visualization.
- Create standard and ad-hoc data analysis employing data mining, consulting, analysis and summarized snapshots (e.g. Monthly Critical Priority Incidents and High Priority Incidents, AES Scores, alerts to VA Office of IT, incidents, tickets, Quarterly KPIs, discrepancy & corrective action).
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improves data quality, availability, accuracy, predictability and reliability of data analytics processes
- Communicate findings in an understandable format, employing multiple types of visual results (e.g., text, charts, graphs)
- Design, implement, and maintain multi-user databases accessible to authorized customers. Ensure that databases meet agency’s business requirements, compliance, security and regulations.
- Collaborate with other Contract Business Operations functions as needed
- Uses tact, diplomacy, and patience when communicating and dealing with others, such as co-workers, managers, supervisors, other business operations team members and users / stakeholders.
Location: This position can be performed in a remote working environment and will be supporting Eastern Time working hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or equivalent (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
- 5 years of experience with Data analysis in IT HW & SW asset management and logistics, ServiceNow, data extraction, data management / warehouse and querying programs such as SQL, etc.
- MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
- Reports, briefings, recommendations, instruction manuals, design support information enriched by data analysis and insights
- Data monitoring, data metrics, data issues and risks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Oral and written technical and non-technical to a variety of audiences
- Present information and ideas so others will understand
- Ability to respond clearly to questions.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Aptitude to address negative situations and positively resolve them.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting a federal client.
Clearance requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
- Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
