IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Asset Management Analyst to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. The VA is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite and remote support to IT customers across all VA Administrations and special program offices, including direct support of over 340,000 VA employees and thousands of contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. The VA provides support staff across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations including difficult-to-accommodate locales, such as high cost of living or under supported economic areas, where VA offices or facilities may be located and require onsite services.

Responsibilities:

    • Oversee IT hardware (HW) asset (Mac and Windows) lifecycle including installation, maintenance, administration, testing, decommissioning and troubleshooting ensuring optimal and secure operations. 
    • Manage asset database to track hardware, maintenance schedules, warranty, etc. and provide a consolidated view of Assets across Logistics, Maintenance and Management including remediation efforts and periodic audits. 
    • Document and report Inventory management/physical accountability checks on all hardware assets, Monthly Critical Priority Incidents and High Priority Incidents, update ITIL Framework, AES Scores, VA Monitoring Framework, auto alerts to VA OIT, % at or exceeding threshold (CPU, Memory, Network latency, Disk space), performance metric, utilization, discrepancy & corrective action. 
    • Work closely with Analytics Lead on Asset and Account control Center Dashboard (Power BI) including HW Asset Management, and Quarterly KPI Report. 
    • Partner with Logistics for HW asset procurement, packages, cost information, etc. 
    • Manage and document vendor information to obtain specifications and cost (quotes) information for HW assets 
    • Coordinate and collaborate with defined escalation paths and fellow Asset & Logistics team members for specifications and dependencies to maintain the baseline  
    • Manage and utilize hardware asset management information for compliance and data calls 
    • Collaborate with ESOM Contract Business Operations team members for effective IT HW asset management and forecast / prepare for follow-on/future HW asset equipment demand 
    • Capturing IT HW investment requirements and aligning those upstream to the portfolio and budget; and downstream to customer service engineers and system administrators for timely and efficient delivery 
    • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support through close monitoring of Hardware Incidents, Service Tickets, Problem Management, etc. 

Work environment 

    • Remote, Contractor site, or on-site with up to 25% travel possible. General office environment.  
    • Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. 
    • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages 
    • Occasional movement of small articles up to 10lbs 
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time 
    • Continually operates a computer and other office productivity machinery 
    • Occasionally required to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces 
    • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard

Location: This position can be performed in a remote setting within the US and will be supporting Eastern Time working hours.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or equivalent (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education) 
    • 5 years of experience with IT Hardware asset management. 
    • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)  
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills  
    • Ability to follow policies and procedures 
    • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand, as well as the ability to respond clearly to questions. 
    • Aptitude to address sensitive situations and positively resolve them. 
    • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance. 
    • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder. 

Preferred: 

    • Experience supporting a federal client and ServiceNow. 
    • ITIL certification
