Job Description

Role Summary:

This is an important role within the Asia Pacific procurement team and will offer you a great opportunity to influence how the team develops of the coming years. The position holder will join the team here in Malaysia and act as a main contact specifically for Marketing, HR, Insurance & Travel purchase but will also assist with other categories of spend, such as Hardware, software, cloud computing, professional services, and facilities.

Main responsibilities include Creation and management of RFX , developing supplier / team member relationships, negotiating contracts and market leading commercials, maintenance of quality / governance standards, reducing supply chain risk, enhancing systems to improve the buying process and leading procurement projects involving multiple departments / countries to bring value to the Experian business.

 

About the role:

  • Set and create the regional category strategy for HR and Marketing across the EMAP region, in association with the Global category lead
  • Develop regional category strategy in partnership with Global lead;
  • Lead the category offering SME advice to company partners across the region;
  • Analyze current market trends and supplier base to use best value opportunities across the region
  • Work with company partners to identify and procure new HR and Marketing spend at best in market cost
  • Produce data and analytic reporting to support and present to important partner groups
  • Work with internal Legal teams to understand the impacts of legislation or other changes in the environment
  • Guide compliance agenda with company partners and reduce risk exposure
  • Work with internal / external auditors and senior management to close the gaps and lead improvements based on audit findings

Qualifications

More About You:

  • Bachelor's degree with economics, business, trading or equivalents.
  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, at least 2 years focused on HR and Marketing procurement, be familiar with the P2P process, market situation and quality system standards in Financial and big data industry.
  • Commercial Law – understanding of contractual law, including risks, negotiation and drafting experience.
  • Good in using existing supply technologies and help develop new technologies
  • With a knowledge of data analytics tools and experience of Oracle ERP systems, Ariba, SharePoint is good to have
