You will play a critical leadership role in the design, development, and implementation of our payroll solution platform helping to build design patterns, mentor engineers, set coding standards and ensure end to end quality of work. While the technology selection below is very broad we will expect expert level capability in some areas and general knowledge experience in others and we look forward to discussing that with you at interview.

What you’ll do

  • Leading development teams through influence, including planning, controlling and reporting on progress.
  • Working with payroll application architects to ensure harmonization of internal and external services with the objective of being an API driven business.
  • Capturing knowledge continuously as part of your work
  • Mentoring Developers in technical and other complementary team delivery skills.
  • Ensuring that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and systems security standards.
  • Overseeing the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software for our Datapay product.
  • Working closely with Product teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered on time.
  • Leads communication and collaboration across Development, and Product teams, to ensure alignment and create successful outcomes.

  • Experience leveraging event-driven architectures that enable seamless integration and real-time data processing
  • Experience in integrating legacy and modern platforms together via data architecture
  • Extensive public cloud experience using Apache Spark or Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Logic Apps
  • Experience implementing and optimising data storage solutions, ensuring data encryption, access controls, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Extensive experience and expertise in integration platforms, patterns, and architecture
  • Deep knowledge of information security principles and data integrity measures.
  • Proficiency in performance optimisation techniques for integration processes. Knowledge of caching, load balancing, and monitoring techniques
  • Experience defining integration patterns and architecture for different types of integration (files, messages, services/APIs), ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity.
  • Experience in designing and implementing integration service platforms that support enterprise-scale, composability, and configurability.
  • Experience implementing secure API management solutions on leading cloud platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity between systems and applications
