About the Role
The Fusion Engineering team is a global and diverse team responsible for developing core functionality of Fusion, Lucidworks’ search and personalization platform. The team is responsible for aspects of Fusion like authentication, permissioning, and user roles; features to index and query data; our API traffic routing system; system message queues; search customization and personalization features; and integration points with SaaS-based applications.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll work with R&D management and colleagues to develop microservice-based features and system improvements, implement approved designs within agreed timelines, help Quality Engineering design effective test strategies, and share your knowledge with Documentation and Enablement teams for development of high quality documentation and training materials for internal and external use.
This is a remote role open to candidates in Mexico or Jamaica.
ResponsibilitiesWrite new code and maintain existing code for core Fusion features and functionality according to agreed requirements and specifications.Ensure code is well-covered by robust unit and integration tests. Improve test coverage and refactor code as necessary to assure high performance, high scalability, and system reliability. Participate in requirements design, code reviews, and internal feature demos with colleagues to validate design decisions and implementation choices.
