Job Title: Director, Program Management

Location: Remote (anywhere between the East Coast and Denver) with occasional travel to Denver and Washington, D.C.

Job Type: Contract Hire (initial full-time commitment for a few months, with potential to scale down)

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Director, Program Management to oversee corporate divestment programs and lead complex projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive project management experience, strong analytical capabilities, and an innovative mindset to deliver excellence in program leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of programs focused on divesting non-core subsidiaries and implementing Transition Service Agreements (TSAs)
• Coordinate workstreams, monitor project timelines, and establish mechanisms for tracking and communicating status, risks, and challenges
• Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure smooth execution of deliverables and project milestones
• Coordinate program activities, managing costs, staffing, and methodologies while adhering to organizational objectives
• Proactively identify issues, foster cross-functional collaboration to develop solutions, and drive implementation to resolution
• Recommend updates to company policies and establish procedures that contribute to overall success

Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree (additional relevant experience may substitute)
• 10+ years of relevant program management experience
• At least 5+ years managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar programs with an aggregate annual value over $10M
• Proven success in managing M&A, integrations, divestments, or carve-outs, including leading a PMO for such initiatives
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, including finance, HR, engineering, and sales
• Willingness to travel as necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in software development or technical engineering organizations
• Background in businesses providing products or services to the US Government
• Consulting experience (5+ years preferred)
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training
• Familiarity with modern software tools, cloud applications, and technologies
• Knowledge of government contracting, including FAR/DFARS and agency supplements
• Understanding of intellectual property protection, copyright law, and software licensing
• Experience in intelligence or remote sensing industries
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
• Advanced Degree (e.g., MBA or Master’s in Engineering)
