JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity...

Commvault is looking for a Regulatory Manager with a strong focus on privacy to join our growing Global Compliance team and help drive our global privacy compliance initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing review of global privacy frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy laws.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in global privacy regulations, providing strategic guidance on their business impact.
  • Oversee and conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to operationalize privacy-by-design principles in new products, services, and processes.
  • Manage data subject rights request workflows, including triaging, tracking, and responding to requests in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Act as the point of contact for regulatory inquiries, audits, and breach notifications, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Conduct internal privacy audits and support cross-functional teams in addressing audit findings.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training programs to enhance organizational awareness and embed a privacy-first culture.
  • Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure third-party privacy compliance through assessments and contractual requirements.

Who you are:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in privacy compliance, legal, or regulatory roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and emerging privacy regulations.
  • Experience conducting privacy risk assessments and managing remediation activities.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable policies and practices.

Skills and experience that could set you apart:

  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM are highly desirable.
