Job description

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they’re likely to die from.

To help us achieve this, we’re looking for a number of ambitious Regional Partnership Leads to join our local fundraising teams. Our Leads will play a crucial role in cultivating, managing, and growing partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders to support Marie Curie’s fundraising and awareness efforts. This is a great opportunity to shape the strategic regional partnership landscape in Marie Curie.

If you have experience in fundraising, sales or business development, enjoy building relationships, identifying potential partnership opportunities and a passion for a role that makes a difference in end-of-life care then this may be the role for you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and stewarding relationships with key decision makers to maximize partnership opportunities with prospects and existing partners.
  • Creating bespoke, creative and robust cultivation and stewardship plans to engage top prospects.
  • Collaborating with the regional/national teams to share information and ensure a comprehensive and structured approach in building strong relationships at all levels across Marie Curie.
  • Supporting community fundraising colleagues in your region with their corporate approaches and stewardship.

Key Criteria:

  • A proven record in fundraising, sales or business development.
  • Ability to identify, prospect, and secure new corporate leads.
  • Experience in writing proposals, delivering pitches, and securing corporate partnerships.
  • Expertise in managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a professional, methodical approach.
  • A proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage and drive your workload to meet objectives.
