Job description

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible identifying and analyzing challenges related to finance systems and implementing solutions within our technology stack. You will support the finance community by eliciting, configuring and managing requirements and specifications. You will also complete a variety of testing disciplines (test plans, scripts, unit testing and user acceptance) to lead development and validate results.

You will combine analytical mindset with hands-on execution, requiring skills in communicating goals, translating requirements into technical solutions, configuring finance systems, creating relevant plans, and delivering measurable results.

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office. You will report to the Manager, Financial Systems.

You'll Get To…
  • Work with finance partners to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
  • Convert requirements into user stories and workflows for solutioning and mockups, with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Deliver product configuration, report and integration changes as a result of user stories, breakfix and enhancement requests.
  • Manage small projects related to finance platforms as assigned.
  • Maintain system and process flows documentation.
  • Deliver clear, engaging presentations that simplify complex technical and business concepts.
  • Share progress metric updates during daily standups.
  • Train users in using the system according to process best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support for admin tasks like refreshes, upgrades, and deployments.
Who We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of implementing finance applications with specific knowledge of finance accounting, planning, procurement & finance reporting modules
  • Advanced data skills, in particular around data validation, pivot tables and reporting financial data
  • Experience delivering impactful presentations and meeting facilitation
  • Experience creating and maintaining process and technical documentation
  • Expert in business workflow modeling
  • Experience with GAAP accounting
  • Experience with version control, unit testing, and continuous integration practices
  • Willingness to expand knowledge across financial systems such as Floqast, Vertex and ADP.

Required Skills:

  • Experience analyzing complex financial and business processes to identify and implement improvements.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detailed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Experience organizing tasks, manage projects, and prioritize competing demands and deliver high-quality results.
  • Focus on delivering customer-centered solutions.

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting planning tools such as NSPB, Hyperion, and OneStream.
  • Experience supporting ERPs such as Oracle Netsuite or SAP
  • Experience supporting Coupa or other procurement tools
  • Experience with iPaaS solutions such as Workato or Mulesoft
  • Experience with Lean and Agile (Scrum) development methodology
  • Experience with data analysis language and tools such as SQL, Python and BigQuery respectively

Cash Compensation Range: $126,500 - $177,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
