We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative to join our team and focus on selling individual, under 65 health insurance policies, both on and off the exchange. In addition to medical insurance, you will also be responsible for selling ancillary product packages. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in acquiring new clients, expanding our customer base, and meeting their healthcare needs. Your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell our comprehensive health insurance plans and ancillary products to individuals under the age of 65, while providing exceptional customer service.
What you will do:
- Drive sales and revenue by assisting customers in making healthcare decisions primarily over the phone.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of potential customer to find an insurance package that fits their needs.
- Effectively cross-sell ancillary products to provide a complete benefit package offering.
- Pipeline management, follow-up and evaluation to ensure highest possible conversion.
- Remain current on products and processes in a multi-product environment.
- Consistently meet and/or exceed monthly sales goals.
- Make outbound calls to follow up on and close business.
Who you are:
- Possess a minimum of 1+ years of sales experience with a successful track record of goal achievement.
- Previous experience within sales, insurance or retail industry preferred
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close sales and overcome objections.
- Solid understanding of individual under 65 health insurance policies, including on and off-exchange policies, as well as ancillary product packages.
- Excellent oral & written communication.
- Excellent computer software skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Project and internet skills.
- Health & Life Insurance license is required for this position. Will provide licensing course with requirement to pass within 30 days of hire.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes a monthly commission-based incentive plan, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
