Southern New Hampshire is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Grant Writer for Manchester North Little League. The ideal candidate would be energetic, self motivating person to help define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities and lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies.  We will teach you how to write grants!.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research: Identifying potential funding sources, understanding eligibility criteria, and researching funder priorities.
  • Prospecting: Building relationships with potential funders and staying informed about new grant opportunities.
  • Proposal Development:  Collaborating with program staff to develop project proposals, outlining goals, budgets, and timelines.
  •  Writing: Crafting compelling proposals that persuasively argue for funding and demonstrate the organization's impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with work study may be prioritized

Learning Outcomes:

  • We will teach you to do grant writing!  Grant writing can help you gain insights into various fields including HR, Finance, Fundraising, Writing, and many more. Working as a grant writer exposes you to diverse perspectives and challenges different your many skillsets when dealing with countless organizations.

Work Schedule: Remote, flexible scheduling, up to 20 hours per week

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
