Job Overview: 

The IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing the IT department to ensure the effective delivery of IT services across the organization. This role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and support of IT systems and infrastructure, managing a team of IT professionals, and ensuring that all IT-related operations are aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The IT Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, and ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s data and systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Management: 

○ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff. 

○ Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s business objectives. 

○ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the efficient delivery of services. 

Infrastructure Management: 

○ Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. 

○ Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure to support business operations. 

○ Oversee the management of data centers, servers, networks, and 

telecommunications systems. 

Security & Compliance: 

○ Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the company’s data and systems. 

○ Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, including data protection and privacy laws. 

○ Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks. 

Project Management: 

○ Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.

○ Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance business processes. 

○ Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Vendor & Budget Management: 

○ Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the delivery of quality services. 

○ Prepare and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient use of resources. 

○ Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems that align with the company’s strategic goals. 

User Support & Training: 

○ Oversee the provision of technical support and troubleshooting to end-users, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. 

○ Develop and implement training programs to enhance the IT skills of employees across the organization. 

○ Ensure the IT team delivers high-quality customer service and support.

Qualifications: 

● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. 

● A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, including leadership roles. ● Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud technologies. 

● Experience with IT security, data protection, and compliance. 

● Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. 

● Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

● Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. 

● Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable. 

Working Conditions: 

● Full-time position with occasional overtime or on-call duties as required.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Menlo Security, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is £58,000 - £102,000 GBP.

In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is Menlo Security’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become Menlo Security shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
