POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Senior VP of Product and Project Delivery, the director leads the NuScale Project Management Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence provides tailored project management assistance to projects and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. The director establishes and maintains the standards, systems, and resources for the performance of project management, project controls, and project support functions. This includes managing the interface between project and corporate systems, strategy, and governance in close collaboration with the finance, accounting, and commercial teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain project management and controls procedures, including project management standards tailored to the size, complexity, and specific needs of each project. Ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and effective through the definition of the minimum viable product that meets corporate and project stakeholder needs.
- Recruit, train and mentor Center of Excellence staff including project management professionals (planners, project controls specialists, and project managers) who are assigned to other organizations or projects.
- Establish and maintain a best-in-class project controls infrastructure that complies with ANSI EIA-748 and is tailored to meet the world-wide business needs of NuScale Power. Manage project time collection process and ensure the integration and optimization the project controls system with enterprise business systems. Manage and improve capabilities of current and future project control business systems including of Primavera P6, PRISM G2, and Oracle Fusion.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project performance and forecasts to support corporate planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting. This includes issuing comprehensive enterprise reporting to support corporate needs.
- Manage a team of subject matter experts who provide specialized expertise (including cost estimating and project risk management) to effectively support multiple projects.
- Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness via structured lessons learned incorporation, advanced data management and analysis, and industry benchmarking.
- Support the development of bids and proposals.
- Work closely with NuScale finance, accounting, procurement, and human resources organizations in planning, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise resource planning system.
- Work cooperatively with the PPD management team in developing and implementing PPD strategy and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline is required. Applicable professional certifications from PMI, AACEI, or equivalent professional organizations strongly desired.
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of full-time working experience in project planning, scheduling, estimating and control on projects with high degrees of complexity and multiple interfaces in the engineering, design, fabrication, power utility, or construction industries is required. A minimum of five years of experience in managing enterprise-level project controls organizations and systems with demonstrated abilities in recruiting and training project management and project controls professionals. Strong database and software skills including a preference for expertise in Primavera P6, PRISM, and Oracle ERP. Experience with lean planning practices, international projects, and claims management desired.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $182,145 - $219,831 annually. The full pay range is $163,303 - $255,422.
