Our Kul Wicasa ancestors favored lands where the Maka Izita Ska (White River) empties into the Mni Sose (Missouri River), while the Heyata Wicasa lived higher up towards the Paha Sapa (Black Hills). In the 18th century, when French traders began to interact with our people, they translated our Sicangu name into French and began calling us the Brûlées. The Public Safety Officers' Benefits (PSOB) Program stands as a testament to our nation's commitment to the brave men and women who serve in public safety roles. Established in 1976, our program provides crucial support through death, disability, and educational assistance benefits to public safety officers and their families. Each year, we process hundreds of claims that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our communities.

Position Summary
As a Customer Resource Specialist I, you will play a vital role in supporting survivors of fallen officers, catastrophically injured officers, and their families through the benefits application process. Working within our dedicated team, you will serve as a secondary point of contact between applicants and the government, ensuring that each case is handled with the care, dignity, and attention it deserves. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of public safety officers and their families during their times of greatest need.
