Expected Work Hours and Timezone
This is a full-time, work-from-home role, aligned with New Zealand hours (starting at 10:00 AM New Zealand Time).
As the Bookkeeper, you will provide excellence by:
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling bank statements and accounts in Xero.
File GST returns accurately and in a timely manner.
Support payroll processing and assist the New Zealand accountant as needed.
Conduct general administrative tasks such as liaising with the Inland Revenue Department and analyzing financial data in spreadsheets.
Ensure financial data security and compliance by working within secure systems and protocols.
Prepare and provide end-of-day reports on completed tasks, issues encountered, and proactive measures taken.
Consider yourself highly qualified if you have:
Proficiency in Xero software for bookkeeping and financial tasks
Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to make judgment calls in complex scenarios
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze and present data effectively.
Collaborative and proactive work ethic, especially in a remote environment
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
Experience with New Zealand or Australian accounting systems and practices (preferred)
Must be based in the Philippines
A self-starter with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Flexibility and adaptability to handle shifting priorities and workloads.
A collaborative mindset, capable of fostering strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
