eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Responsible for building performance efficient, high-volume, and highly scalable software applications and optimized features in support of eBay’s distributed systems. Build solutions using strong background in distributed systems, and large-scale database systems. Research, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings. Ensure code quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, refactoring, standards, and improving build and test systems. Work with other specialists, Architecture, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs concerning new software product functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and alignment to development principles and eBay product goals. Develop technical domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges. Design automation framework and write outstanding code to automate testing for assigned feature areas. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Two years of experience designing and developing high-volume software applications using Java.
2. Two years of experience in Spring Framework.
3. Two years of experience in software development with Restful APIs.
4. Two years of experience in Microservices development.
5. Two years of experience using Git as the software version control tool.
6. Two years of experience using Jenkins as software build and deployment tool.
7. Two years of experience using Database.
8. Two years of experience using CI/CD as development methodologies.
9. Two years of experience in software development with Agile methodologies.
Salary: $172,931.00-234,850.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
