eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy web technologies in an agile environment with a focus on problem solving and software engineering perfection. Build and implement scalable, high speed, distributed software applications and advocate for meeting the design and quality standards. Assess business problems, design optimal software solutions, and drive implementation to meet business expectations. Drive architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, participate in software design and code reviews, and contribute to coding and unit testing of fault-tolerant software applications. Share engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 site. Collaborate closely with peers, architects, product managers, business analysts, quality engineers, and operations teams to develop innovative software solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations. Contribute to the development, testing, release, triage, bug fix, documentation, and rest of the cycles in software product development and maintenance. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation.

Base salary: $157,000.00-205,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
