eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Analyze requirements and prepare design, and develop robust, scalable software systems using object-oriented programming. Define, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient, and performant distributed systems. Lead product design to produce clear, well and documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to develop and improve the performance of individual team members and the success of the overall team. Develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and consistency to development principles and product goals. Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 site, plan implementation, and rollout system changes. Telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Example: Experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using Object-Oriented Design and Java (1 year)
1. Experience on object-oriented design and programming using Java (2 years)
2. Experience on RESTful API design and implementation (2 years)
3. Good understanding and experience on Model-View-Controller framework like spring/spring boot (2 years)
4. Good understanding and hands on experience about Database management and Distributed systems (2 years)
5. Experience on writing SQL and stored procedures (2 years)
6. Understanding and experience dealing with NoSQL datastores (1 year)
7. Great understanding of testing methodologies - functional and unit testing (2 years)
8. Hands on experience on application build lifecycle like Maven (2 years)
9. Hands on experience on continuous development tools like Jenkins (2 years)
10. Great understanding on software development lifecycle and experience on agile methodologies (2 years)
Salary: $157,000.00-$205,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
