JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of our pricing strategy across our business segments, helping to maximize profitability while supporting the sales team in driving sales growth. This position is responsible for analyzing business performance to support and develop the strategic initiatives of customer management and business development. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well under tight time constraints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sale Plan Evaluations and Formulary Development: Analyzes customers spend to determine optimal market basket. Ensures cost increases have been implemented where appropriate. Works with supplier partners to ensure utilization of the best contract costs available for the customer. Uses market data to make pricing recommendations. Develops reports and presentations to communicate results and recommendations to internal and external teams.
- Information Acquisition and Reporting: Uses Data Warehouse and other reporting tools to report on trends and performance of customers or suppliers.
- Sale Plan Design: Analyzes pricing plans to determine optimal plan structure and design, implementing changes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Pricing: Load and maintain sales plan and/or customer level pricing into pricing system as directed from the Sales Teams and other internal stakeholders. Assure pricing compliance with customer contracts where appropriate. Calculate margins and fixed sell prices, unit of measure validations, and confirming gross profit for all product prices being loaded.
- Respond to inquiries and questions sent to the department inbox in a timely manner. Inquiries may involve interpreting and resolving pricing discrepancies and supplying pricing reports. Assist in the distribution of work from group mailbox.
- Pricing Audits: Supports the team with pricing audits as necessary to ensure compliance to our customer contracts.
- Departmental Documentation: Prepares and maintains updated documentation on department procedures.
- Special Projects: Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
The posted range for this position is $63,360-$87,491 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
