This ensures Lesaffre is able to work with local bakers to create regional specialties and anticipate trends.

Lesaffre is opening a new position to provide support to its partners and clients in the Philippines. This role is a key position within the organization and a great opportunity for an individual to further develop. This position reports functionally to the APAC Baking Center Coordinator, and to the Country sales manager in the Philippines (for Philippines operations).

Job Description

Technical support:

  • Demonstration (individual or group) on yeast and baking Ingredients from Lesaffre range (dry, fresh and frozen yeast, bread improvers, sourdough etc.) in Baking Center (internal or at our partners’ premises) as well as at our client’s facilities (craft, instore bakeries and industrial bakeries)
  • Technical Assistance to industrial and craft bakeries (process and recipe improvements, trouble shooting on a diversity of bakery applications, assistance for claims processing in collaboration with our clients and our quality department).
  • Conduct training and workshop (bakers, distributors and Lesaffre employees)
  • Collection and reporting of technical information from markets (products positioning, competitors, trends and changing customer needs).

Product development:

  • Identifying customer needs and competitors’ positioning.
  • Provide technical data and info from market to run analyses and development in Lesaffre (new products, testing, atypical products)
  • Collaboration with Laboratory & formulators to support dev.elopment of new yeasts and ingredients solutions (for the market or tailor-made solutions). Involvement on the optimization of their implementation (usage, presentation)
  • Product validation (evaluation of performance and perception users) prior to market launch
  • Contribute to marketing documentation, support to marketing department to build argumentation of products range

Qualifications
  • Possess strong knowledge of bread-baking process (raw materials - manufacturing processes - applications) with successful operational experience in technical support for craft and Industrial bakeries.
  • Have experience in baking consulting preferred, with at least training and skill-sharing experience.
  • Good communication skills (listening skills, good oral expression, ability to convince / train). 
  • Customer oriented, ability to identify and understand the clients’ needs and constraints.
  • Ability to transform client needs into an action plan and a product offering.
  • Team spirit but ability to work independently on daily operations.
  • Summarizing and reporting skills.
  • Availability to work flexible schedule and travel within the Philippines.
  • Curiosity, integrity, confidentiality, open mind and rigor in work.
  • Fluent English communication.
