The International HR Service Team Manager plays a critical role in leading and managing the Global Business Services (GBS) HR team in a specific market, focusing on efficient, reliable, and high-quality HR service delivery. The manager’s key responsibility is to ensure seamless transactional HR processing and advisory services that align with the global HR strategy, enhancing both employee and people manager experiences. The International HR Services Team will support all businesses in delivering HR advice and services to JM’s countries with very small employee numbers (under 30) with no in-country HR presence, and to all international remote working employees.

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive HR service delivery for employees and managers across international markets, covering the full HR lifecycle and managing complex cases, including transitions from EORs to direct employment and entity setups or closures.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team by optimizing processes, fostering engagement, encouraging development, and adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service with swift issue resolution, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and implement improvements aligned with market-specific HR needs.
  • Collaborate with global COEs, HRBPs, and legal advisors to standardize contracts, address compliance issues, and maintain strong relationships with business leaders.
  • Act as a compliance expert, ensuring adherence to JM policies and local laws, while mitigating risks related to employee relations and employment practices.
  • Manage EOR vendor relationships, evaluate associated risks, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR service delivery across IHR countries.

Requirements for the role:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field (or CIPD), with a minimum of 5 years in HR, including operational and advisory experience in international settings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills, with proven ability to manage high workloads, multiple priorities, and complex projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Solid knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations, with the ability to assess risks, solve problems, and identify systemic solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in Workday, case management systems, and vendor management preferred.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrating strong learning agility, cross-cultural competency, and a solutions-oriented approach to fostering a positive work environment.
