Job description

 
How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:


Responsible for building and managing relationships with companies that supply products and services to Carilion. Maximizes service to vendors, conducts business needs assessments and works with management to create and enhance services that fulfill the business needs of our vendors. Develops relationships, and maintains contacts with hospitals, businesses, physician practices, and other appropriate clients to promote services and gain feedback for new service offerings. 
 

  • Maximizes service to vendor, while being the primary contact to both Carilion departments and the vendor, that fulfulls the business needs of both parties.
  • Acts as the primary contact for the vendor.
  • Handles escalated accounts while acting as a liaison for Carilion patients as they work with the vendor.
  • Develops relationships and maintains contacts with client and vendors.
  • Anticipates changing client and vendors needs and assists management in developing services to meet those needs.
  • Acts as a liaison with customers to resolve issues, report payments, engage in research with vendors at the request of either party to provide resolution to accounts.
  • Reviews and participates where necessary in the month-end process, business reviews, etc. at the cadnece identified. Provides input on related budgetary plans for sales and marketing.
  • Assists with special projects and daily tasks as needed related to the work of our Billing Customer Service team.
What We Require:


Education: Bachelors degree required or equivalent 8 years experience required

Experience: 5 years experience in customer service collection agency environment preferred.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: N/A

Other Minimum Qualifications: Proven presentation skills and proficiency with presentation software ( i.e. PowerPoint) required. Federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and knowledge of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is necessary. Familiarity with Epic with required in depth Epic and Customer Service training. Computational, analytical, writing skills and computer skills including file record lay out skills required.
