Xpressdocs is looking for a Junior Scrum Master to support the adoption of Agile methodologies and cultivate a Lean-Agile culture within the technology teams.  Your role involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, supporting team decision-making, and helping resolve conflicts.  By providing guidance and coaching to the teams towards greater maturity, you will also assist in improving inter-team communications and contribute to metric-driven decision-making for effective capacity planning.  Your leadership will nurture an environment that promotes fun, collaboration, open communication, and customer focus.

In this position, you will:

  • Agile Coaching: Help teams grasp Agile values and principles and guide them in adopting Agile and Scaled Agile frameworks. 
  • Training Support: Participate in Agile methodology training sessions for new team members to help establish consistent practices.
  • Scrum Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating Scrum events while encouraging team participation in Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Refinements, Retrospectives and PI planning.
  • Progress Tracking: Assist in creating dashboards to monitor team progress and support metric-driven planning and reviews.
  • Continuous Learning: Support the implementation of techniques to enhance team collaboration, transparency, and efficiency to promote continuous improvement.
  • Tools Familiarity: Familiarize yourself with tools such as JIRA and support teams in utilizing its features effectively to streamline Scrum processes. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address obstacles that impede organizational agility.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in Agile environments, with exposure to Scrum practices and the role of a Scrum Master.
  • Certification: Entry-level Agile certification, with Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required or expected within the first 3 months of employment..
  • Agile Exposure: Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, with exposure to frameworks like Scrum and SAFe. 
  • Skills: Developing, coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills. Keen interest in process development and improving communication within teams. 
  • Tools: Familiarity with tools like JIRA is a plus, and a willingness to learn more about software development practices.
