We are looking for a capable Category manager to help us build a category management function at Autodoc. Reporting to the Director of Assortment, you will own improving sales performance of the category segments you manage. You will generate insights and turn those into actions to drive sales by adding relevant assortment and services, analyzing customer behavior and identifying improvements of the end-to-end customer purchasing experience. In short, your team will play a key role in defining action plan for the category.
Responsibilities:
Analysing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category
Creating and developing a long term plan for the development of the category
Overseeing a team of analysts and other support staff
Becoming a leader in category ranging and promotions across channels
Leading category management projects to optimise ranges and related merchandising
Creating forecasts for product demand to ensure sustainability of inventory
Managing budget development and revenue for the category
Developing strong working relationships with procurement, marketing and data managemet teams
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business.
3 years experience
Up to date with the latest category management principles.
Ability to write well and generate reports on market activity.
Possess great negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think from a consumer perspective and understand buying behavior.
Analytical, creative, and goal-driven thinking.
