Main Responsibilities
- As a design engineer for John Deere’s Enterprise Technology and Innovation Center, you will work in a cross functional team supporting John Deere Forestry team, focusing on engine and aftertreatment integration in the vehicles.
- Lead design activities for the product development cycle, from concept development through virtual and physical build, testing and implementation.
- Leverage CAD tools to create 3D models and engineering prints.
- Define specifications for system components to ensure they meet performance and durability goals.
- Collaborate with others functional teams to resolve design issues to meet our quality and cost goals.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to manufacturing, quality, production, and supply management teams to ensure product requirements are met.
- Create and maintain BOM structures and lead part workflow through the system.
What Skills You Need
- One or more years of experience in Product Design
- Strong background in relevant engineering fields (
- Mechanical, thermodynamics, fluids, heat transfer)
- Experience with CAD packages (PTC Creo preferred)
- Problem resolution (methodologies, critical thinking, generate conclusions based on technical information).
- Proactiveness and effective communication.
- Fluent in English

- Experience working with internal combustion engines
- Experience with manufacturing processes.
- Experience with finite element analysis
- GD&T and Stack up tolerancing calculation.
- Engineering materials knowledge.
Education
- Mechanical, automotive, aeronautical, or mechatronic engineering.
