Job description

Intrepid Travel is seeking a Deputy Operations Manager for Cambodia – a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of our group and external trips across the region. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you’ll be the critical link between our guides, suppliers, and management, ensuring the highest standards of service and safety.

As Deputy Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, collaborating with suppliers and Group Leaders to deliver outstanding adventures. From responding to passenger feedback to resolving on-the-ground challenges, your contribution will have a tangible impact on the quality of every journey!

You'll also assist with recruitment and performance development of on-ground staff while providing frontline support during emergencies.

If you’re passionate about travel and want to help create life-changing experiences for other travellers, this could be your next great adventure!

This is a full-time permanent position, based in our Siem Reap office, requiring some flexibility in work hours due to the operational nature of the role. To provide the best experience for our people, this role would operate mostly out of our office with some work-from-home days.

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • Proven experience in the travel industry, preferably as a Group Leader for Intrepid or a similar organization in the region.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support people, including performance development and feedback.

  • Strong office administration skills.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, with the ability to guide and train others effectively.

  • Ability to manage crises and take responsibility for the safety of others in challenging situations.
