Learn to Be provides a flexible, remote opportunity to interested Federal Work Study college students to serve as a virtual tutor. As a tutor with LTB, you will make your own schedule and pick which grade levels and subjects you wish to tutor. You can tutor as many or as few grade levels or subjects as you feel comfortable with. This position is open to all majors and you do not need to have tutoring or teaching experience!
Job Responsibilities:
- You will select the grade levels and subjects in which you want to tutor and select your own student from the Student Queue.
- You will communicate with your students in a timely fashion via the LTB direct message feature on the portal or through the LTB text message system and make a routine schedule with each of your students.
- LTB asks tutors to meet with their students at least once per week for 60 minutes, however tutors can offer to meet more than once a week.
- You’ll schedule recurring sessions with students on the LTB portal, create lesson plans or prep for sessions if desired/needed.
- Tutors will host 1-on-1 sessions with students on the LTB portal via LTB’s Zoom account and fill out post session feedback forms to log hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
- Work study part of financial aid package
- Students with work study may be prioritized
- Tutors should be patient and compassionate when working with students who might have different backgrounds than their own and strong communication skills.
- Tutors need to be reliable as well.

Work Schedule: flexible, largely late afternoons, evenings, weekends however students will make their own schedule

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
