The Accounting and Reporting Team is looking for a professional who is eager to help implement, oversee and optimize the financial processes and procedures for our Global Hubs at St. Jude.
The Accounting Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to develop strong relationships with regional and global collaborators and to navigate complex project management.

Responsibilities:
- Lead development, implementation, and operations of both accounting and decision support systems by working closely with relevant teams.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures in accordance with St. Jude's regulatory requirements.
- Lead reporting/ dashboards in own area ensuring quality and accuracy and highlight issues or gaps to senior management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (both internal and external) to drive collaboration and alignment between multiple teams.
- Coordinate and monitor compliance with best practices around financial accounting/payroll/taxation procedures.
- Support overall planning of major accounting and financial reporting systems for the organization.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or related field of study required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum Requirement: 6+ years of accounting experience working with a general ledger and/or related financial information systems.
- Strong experience with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IRS, US GAAP, Uniform Guidance, hospital regulations) within specific area.
- Experience in team meetings and/or to senior management.
- Experience managing people as direct reports
- International accounting experience strongly preferred
- Professional certification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA) / Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects/work initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to carry out broad assignments with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cultural sensitivity is a must.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $94,640 - $169,520 per year for the role of Accounting Operations Manager.
