Job Description

This senior leadership role will drive insightsoftware’s product vision and strategy for our Equity Management Product Pillar. You will be responsible for shaping our product vision, GTM strategy, and roadmap to align with our business objectives and market demands to drive annual recurring revenue and product line growth. This leader will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring innovation in our Equity Management solutions, and will also source new inorganic opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accelerating the growth of current and future products. They must exude an unrelenting passion for our customer experience, strong financial acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Align global teams around a clear and compelling product vision and roadmap that inspires all key stakeholders.
  • Ownership and accountability for product portfolio’s roadmap, deliverables, go-to-market strategy, and P&L.
  • Create, lead, and own the value creation plan for the products in scope.
  • Maintain a competitive market overview to identify white spaces, strategic threats, and opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for new products, product features, and enhancements.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key technology and functional leaders to drive focus on the product strategy and roadmap deliverables.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with marketing, sales, customer success, and services to execute customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Demonstrate a metrics-driven mindset, using and generating thoughtful data analysis to inform decisions that balance the needs of customers.
  • Identify build, buy, and partner opportunities and lead the related acquisition strategy.
  • Enhance our product strategy by balancing business hypothesis testing and validated learnings with a deep intuition for what is important to our customers.
  • Drive the product development organization in the execution of releases, ensuring we have the greatest of all possible ROIs through appropriately sized launches.
  • Understand market requirements by partnering with key internal stakeholders and go-to-market team.
  • Assess risks and dependencies across all the product and engineering functions and provide guidance to the Business Unit leadership

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:

PRODUCT STRATEGY, VISION, AND PLANNING

  • Pulls from market and competitive insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities to create the product vision (target customer segments, markets, channels, go to market approach, and value propositions).
  • Aligns this strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders to shape product roadmap, investment areas and success measures.
  • Understand the product technical architecture, understand the economics of technical investments, e.g., buy vs. build, total cost of ownership “TCO”.

PRODUCT GROWTH AND PROFITABILITY

  • Plans, develops, and manages product P&L (e.g., pricing, marketing budgets, headcount), short- and long-term outcomes and business value of product portfolio including connection to roadmap, objectives and key results, and strategic investments.

GO-TO-MARKET ALIGNMENT AND MATRIX MANAGEMENT

  • Manages across channels to define and deliver product performance goals (e.g., revenue, customer experience, etc.).
  • Gathers competitive, customer, market, and internal business priorities to design, develop, and continually optimize digital solutions that drive adoption, engagement, and growth across both digital and human customer interactions.
  • Leverages enterprise platforms and capabilities, to improve speed to market and drive both development and ongoing support cost efficiencies e.g., provide more functionality for same investment or same amount of functionality for less investment.

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Build and lead a high-performing product management team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the product management function.
  • Identify and develop talent, ensuring the team has the skills and resources needed to achieve objectives

STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure alignment and shared objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing strategic product insights and recommendations

 

Qualifications
  • Experience owning direct P&L responsibility of at least $XXM for a product line, business unit or division within a B2B software company
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in a product management role, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing software products, preferably in the financial or equity management sector.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with product management software and related tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with the aptitude for influencing and building consensus among stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
