Air Liquide is looking for an End-to-End Remote Optimization Control Center (ROCC) Engineer in Secunda, South Africa. In this role you will oversee and optimize gas and liquid supply chains by analyzing data, improving processes, and ensuring efficient daily operations. Your role includes planning, managing energy use, responding to supply chain disruptions, and collaborating across teams to meet business goals. You’ll use data and automation tools to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure operational success.
As an E2E Optimization ROCC Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across gas and liquid supply chains within an international environment. This position has been created to support increased activity and enhance real-time supply chain optimization, leveraging data analytics and automation tools. You will join a dynamic team of cross-functional experts, reporting directly to the ROCC Manager, and collaborate closely with production planners, energy specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment with strategic business objectives.
Your mission is to ensure the efficient, reliable, and optimized operation of gas and liquid supply chains by leveraging data-driven insights, real-time monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to align daily activities with strategic business objectives. Your main responsibilities will be to:
Monitor and optimize daily production and distribution operations to meet cost, energy, and schedule KPIs.
Collaborate with energy and supply chain teams to minimize costs and align production with procurement strategies.
Lead crisis management efforts to resolve disruptions quickly and maintain supply chain continuity.
Contribute to strategic planning and S&OP processes to ensure long-term operational alignment and efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance process efficiency and decision-making.

Are you a MATCH?
Minimum requirements:
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus but not mandatory
Technical Skills:
You are proficient in data analytics tools, control systems, and operational monitoring technologies. Expertise in energy market optimization is required.
You have a proven experience in process optimization, supply chain operations, or production management, with a high degree of autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving.
